Happy first of March! I’m excited about the official flipping of the Neilson calendar (this is darn near ceremonial at our house) for a bunch of reasons.
One, it means we’re that much closer to the Vernal Equinox. And I love Spring…almost as much as I love summer!
Two, it means I’ve officially been in chemotherapy treatment for exactly one month. One month down. Hopefully, not many more to go.
And three, the Bowling Night Benefit and Silent Auction on Friday, March 18!
If you plan to be there but have not yet mailed in your form and your check to my bff Kristi Kahl, drop what you’re doing and take care of it right now! Kristi needs to be able to give a final count to the Super Bowl in Canton no later than March 12, 2011, so we can be sure we have enough lanes. The sooner, the better…
Need a form? Download and Print the form right here. Or, email Kristi at: KristiKahl@comcast.net and she’ll email one to you on the double.
Tix are $20 a person and include two hours of bowling — Cosmic AND regular — two slices of great pizza, the best fountain pop you’ve ever had, and a fancy pair of bowling shoes. I guarantee you it’s going to be FUN! Think of it this way: If, according to Jennifer Amprim Wolf (see her Guest Post on 2/22/2011), I make chemo fun, just imagine what I can do for a night of bowling!
You can find all of the gory details under the Events button on the Home Page of my Blog. And while you’re there — the Home Page, that is — don’t forget to check out the growing Silent Auction List. New and amazing goodies are appearing on a daily basis. So amazing, in fact, I honestly have to restrain myself from bidding! (That would so defeat the purpose, I keep reminding myself.)
When I confessed as much to Team Amy Manager Helene Held, she proposed a great solution: “Tell whoever wins the tickets that they can take you to the game!”
I so love the way she thinks!
