Wall of Love

Hope, love, encouragement, prayers, support; these are just some of the amazing words written with each card sent especially for Amy.   Several of the messages start with, “You don’t know me but I’ve been following your blog”, they all shout out to Amy, that YOU can do this, YOU can beat this and WE are all here for you.  This blog has not only united kind strangers but has shown Amy how truly special she is to so many.  While each day is an exhausting struggle for her to do even the smallest of everyday tasks, she holds her head high and perseveres through the pain.  She’s looking forward, not back.

Last week Amy had 4 of the 5 radiation treatments but by Friday, her counts were too low and treatment was put on hold.  Monday morning she and Don will meet with the doctors and see how her counts are and if they are up, she will get radiation at 1pm.  Tuesday through Friday she is scheduled at 10:24am (Eastern Time).

Thanks again for your support, prayers and love.  As you can see in the photo above, Amy and Don’s son Theo helped hang cards on the Wall of Love and his laughter was heard throughout the house when he played the musical cards.  Music to a mother’s ears!

Here is the address to mail a card if you’d like to:

What a cute picture and I love the paint color on the wall! Praying your counts are up and stay up so you can get the treatments over with and leave them behind you. Praying God’s peace will allow you to get some rest tonight.

Amy I think of you many times during the day and each time offer a prayer–stop the pain and let’s get on with the complete recovery already! I suspect your army is getting restless.

How is Amy doing? It’s been a while since we heard anything. Praying that no news is good news.
